How do you miss that???

OK, I admit I can at times be fairly unobservant. And, being a bit clumsy, more than once I've found a bruise on my person that made me "When did I do that???" This was especially true when I worked in the classroom, I walked into those short tables so frequently I stopped feeling it while my knees and thighs were littered with small bruises.

But...how does a person not realize they have SHOT themselves in the FACE with a NAILGUN?????

From today's Chronicle Herald:

"A dental office X-ray reveals a four-inch nail embedded in the skull of Patrick Lawler, 23, which was removed at a suburban Denver, hospital in 2005. Lawler had unknowingly shot himself with a nail gun six days earlier and and only sought treatment when pain-killers and ice failed to stop what he thought was a minor toothache and blurry vision. (CP)"



Unknowningly shot himself. In the FACE. This man should never be left alone. Ever.
